This month's beauty guru is John Tsagaris, doctor of Chinese Medicine at Energy Bodies. He develops bespoke treatment programmes to bring his clients back into natural balance, including massage, healing and skincare and wellbeing advice. Here he shares his insider secrets on how to get gorgeous, radiant skin in time for your wedding...

• Relax your face - acupressure
Our muscles and skin are very tensed during the day and for most of us during the night as well. Start pressing firmly and deeply all around the face trying to find all these sore and tense points, massaging to relax them. Immediately you will feel an invigorating blood flow to the face and skin and your face will feel much lighter. Better circulation on the face means better oxygen and nutrient supply to skin cells and a better complexion.

• Steam and exfoliate
Use the steam rooms in your gym. Normal cleansers and facial washes do not clean deep enough so the skin is still covered by a layer of grease and dirt blocking the pores and restricting the detoxification and breathing ability of the skin. Take a soft toothbrush and, while skin is warm and moist from the steam, brush gently all over to get rid of the dead cells and sebum which together create a prime environment for bacteria to develop and clog the skin and create breakouts.

• Exercise your face
Exercising your facial muscles tones and plumps up your skin, minimising those lines that you don't need. There are several good books on facial exercises and even DIY gadgets that exercise your face for you.

• Feed your skin
Beauty comes from within as they say and indeed providing your skin with the necessary nutrients will help your skin to regenerate quicker and keep its youth for longer. Antioxidant supplements with Alpha Lipoic Acid, vitamin C, Selenium, co-enzyme Q10 are excellent agents to protect your skin from oxidative stress which damages our skin cells and bodies. Eat superfoods such as prunes, blueberries, blackberries, avocado and all the powerful antioxidant foods to keep your immune system and body healthy and young.

• Beauty acupuncture
According to clinical evidence, beauty acupuncture accelerates skin cell growth, improves the circulation of blood and most importantly re-structures the weak areas of the skin where the face needs it more. The treatment restructures the architecture of the skin which no potions and lotions can reach. It has an accumulative effect and is a natural skin booster, which allows the skin to do what it knows best - protect and repair itself!
