A few weeks ago, Brides was invited to a beautiful breakfast hosted by David Furnish at the Jo Malone boutique on Sloane Street. We were there to celebrate a collaboration between the perfume house and David's charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which he runs with Elton and helps over 25,000 children from unprivileged African countries infected with the HIV virus or orphaned because of AIDS.
Every June, David and Elton host a grand and glamorous celebrity party in the grounds of their Windsor home called the White Tie and Tiara ball, which raises an amazing amount of money for the charity (an, may we add, with a dress code this chic, guarantees fabulous-looking guests. Brides-to-be, take note: if you want them looking great, ask for it!).
To support the charity in the past, Jo Malone has donated an incredible £150,000 and created an exclusive 'White Tie and Tiara' fragrance for the guests' goodie bags. Due to popular demand, the perfume is now available to purchase as a limited edition, so we urge you to find your nearest boutique and have a try! It's inspired by the 'White Scented Garden' in the grounds of David and Elton's home, with uplifting fruity pineapple, tangerine and bergamot, and jasmine, orange blossom and white violets. It's incredibly pretty, but not too girly or sweet, making it a spot-on bridal perfume for these current glorious breezy, sunny days. Each purchase supports the charity too.
