If you have a burning bridal beauty question and need some one-to-one advice, now's your chance!
Every year, beauty editors from all the big glossy magazines take part in a fantastic event hosted by the charity Look Good... Feel Better. We are each partnered up with a beauty brand counter in Selfridge's department store on Oxford Street, and throughout the day we meet and greet readers in 20-minute private sessions.
Not only do you get to ask me anything you want - whether it's how to pick the right foundation, which fragrance to match to your wedding day or how to clear up your complexion by aisle time - but you'll also get a gorgeous make-over and goody bag from the brand that I'm working with. And here's the best part: it's Lancôme!
I'm so thrilled to be paired up with this incredible, high-quality brand. I've been very lucky with past 'Meet the Editors' days (I've done it with Guerlain, Bare Minerals, Laura Mercier and Dior) so when I found out my partner was Lancôme I was over the moon because it's a perfect bridal 'upgrade' brand and ticks all the beauty boxes: skincare, fragrance, make-up, suncare and bodycare.
Your 20-minute one-to-one session with me is an ideal opportunity to talk about the pre-wedding beauty worries weighing on your mind, no matter how big or small, after which you'll get a make-up application with the Lancôme girls and a fabulous beauty gift donated by Lancôme.
All the money raised from ticket sales will go to the Look Good... Feel Better (LGFB) charity that supports women in cancer treatment. It's a fantastic initiative: they set up workshops in 60 hospitals and cancer support centres nationwide giving free beauty advice and tutorials to women undergoing and recovering from chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As the LGFB executive director Sarahjane Robertson says, 'Losing your hair can be tough enough to cope with but the loss of eyelashes and eyebrows and the skin-related issues faced during treatment can prove debilitating. LGFB workshops help many thousands of women to look and feel more like their 'normal' selves.'
It's a charity close to my heart and I was lucky enough to volunteer at a workshop last year. An entire room of nervous, emotionally drained and poorly ladies were transformed into giggling, confident and radiant women, simply through the power of beauty products and great advice from the volunteer beauty consultants. It was inspiring!
So now's your chance to get some advice for you and your big day beauty routine and donate to charity all at the same time. Here are the details, and remember to call soon as the slots are filling up!
