We know that yoga is beneficial for body and mind, but what if your mat was afloat?
Cue Aqua Physical, the new low-impact cross-training workout that takes place on water. Yes, you read that right, water! It's the latest fitness craze to take over London's pools and ponds - and is coming to a city near you soon.
Testing your flexibility, strength, balance and concentration, the workout is performed on floating, inflatable boards called 'aqua bases'. The base uses the natural fluidity of the water to mold to the surface and keep you afloat. Stand up and you are - literally - walking on water! It takes serious strength in your core but the end results are pretty (f)abulous. (Sorry, we couldn't resist!)
The classes are suitable for all levels and you can learn ineither a group (how about a bit of fitness fun on your hen do?) or on a one-on-one session.
The next pop-up classes will take place on 29th and 30th August at The Kings Cross Pond and on 12th September at The Barbican.
Classes are £25 per person for a 30 minute session. For more information, visit www.aquaphysical.com
