Built on a vast, incredibly remote 100-acre site in the Nui Chua National Park, Amanoi is a good two hours' drive down dirt roads from Nha Trang, the nearest beach resort. The only noise you'll hear is the wind through the cashew and mango trees that provide a verdant carpet as far as the eye can see. The bay, sky and mountains are enveloping, and the air of splendid isolation continues throughout - you'll be staying in a standalone pavilion where you can't see or hear another soul. But there's no need to exert yourself: a golf cart will pick you up when you want to visit the beach club, with its blissful curl of sand, slate pool and restaurant serving delicious shrimp rice-paper rolls and curries. Or the spa, set around a lotus pool, with a floating canopy where you can practise dawn yoga and try traditional Vietnamese massage with cupping.
WOW FACTOR The space and privacy. Your pavilion is so isolated, you can take a late-night skinny dip in your personal pool, the music turned up to nightclub levels, without disturbing a soul.
