The new offering from Sandals is completely box-fresh. Unlike many other islands in the Caribbean whose coasts are spattered with high-end resorts (we're talking about you, Jamaica), Grenada is less developed for tourism, so you'll feel suitably smug when you tell friends where you're jetting off to.
The only Sandals resort on the island, LaSource is nestled on the exclusive and fabulously named Pink Gin Beach. It's only minutes from the airport, with all the positives (no lengthy transfer time involved) and none of the negatives (you're not disturbed by aircraft noise) that this can bring. Once you've checked into your Skypool Butler Suite and flung open the balcony doors to your private infinity pool, you might just want to lock the door and throw away the key for good.
This resort takes the concept of all-inclusive to another level entirely (you'd be forgiven for going mad and ordering at once all of the sides in the steakhouse - we're talking Lobster Mac & Cheese, after all) and no matter where you find yourself during your stay, you're guaranteed a first-class experience.
A word of warning, though: Sandals LaSource really is for those truly dedicated fly-and-floppers only. So if your idea of a dream honeymoon consists of sun, sand, grown-up drinking games by the pool and permanently topped-up bubbles, you and your new husband will be laughing all the way to the (free) bar.
WOW FACTOR: The butlers are a class above the rest. Ask for Peter or Chanelle, then just sit back and let the magic happen.
GO: Virgin Holidays (www.virginholidays.co.uk) offers seven nights from £1,799 per person, all-inclusive. Includes flights and transfers.
FLIGHT TIME: 10 hours with stopover
