The most northern resort in the Maldives, situated on the dreamily secluded Haa Alif Atoll, offers 35 acres of honeymoon heaven - perfect white sand, too-good-to-be-true turquoise sea, complete and utter pampering.
There are 83 over-water or on-the-beach villas on offer at this lavish hideaway, each sympathetically designed with indigenous wood and private plunge pools.
There's plenty to occupy the restless, from yoga and tension-melting massages at the idyllic De'Spa complex, to sinking a hole-in-one on the 18-hole golf simulator.
And if you can't bear to leave, why not join in the resort's 'adopt a coral reef' scheme? It's a great excuse to come back…

On the most northern of the Maldives atolls, the Beach House takes a little longer to get to than some resorts, but it's well worth the effort.
Now part of the luxe Waldorf Astoria Collection, this recently redeveloped resort is intimate and ultra-luxurious. The luscious 83 villas are over water or on the beach and all have private terraces.
The staff are exceptionally welcoming, and personal villa hosts will meet all your needs.
Don't miss breakfast - a sensational spread in the open-air Saffron restaurant. The food and wine is first class, whether an individually designed salad at Infiniti, a wood-fired pizza at Amazon or grilled meats and fish at the beachside restaurant, Medium Rare.
This is not an area of the Maldives particularly well known for
diving, but it is one of the activities on offer for the more
energetic. Alternatively, you can head to the Modun Spa for an
altogether more relaxing time.
Wow factor: What could be more romantic than the castaway experience, when you spend the day on a deserted island?
