INGREDIENTS

4 bunches of different-coloured sweet peas, dark to light

9 glass jars

METHOD

1.Choose a grouping of simple glass jars to let the ombre design shine. Arrange the jars into a grid or cluster.

2. Divide the darkest sweet peas into three small bunches. Trim the stems and place one bunch in each jar of the first column, from front to back.

3. Divide the next darkest colour bunch of sweet peas into three bunches. Add most of each bunch to each jar in the second column, but hold back a few stems. Add these to the jars in the first column, creating a soft blend along the line where the two colours meet.

4. Repeat the process for the next darkest colour, holding back some stems. Finish by dividing the lightest bunch of sweet peas into three bunches and placing one in each jar of the third column on the right side of the jar.
