Bruce Oldfield is set to launch his first homeware collection in spring 2011. The British couturier (who is the bookies favourite to design Kate Middleton's bridal gown for her wedding to Prince William next year), has collaborated with Rebecca Willer, of Kensington tableware and design shop Willer, as well as the prestigious manufacturing company Royal Crown Derby, to create an exclusive collection of fine china called Bruce Oldfield for Willer. The new homeware range will also include cut-crystal pieces and beautiful table linens.
Speaking about his debut collection, Bruce explained that working with Willer and Royal Crown Derby was about balancing traditional craftsmanship and a modern design aesthetic: "The collaboration between the three of us is a natural partnership, marrying modern design style with an unsurpassed level of style and craftsmanship."
He continued: "Willer is a gorgeous shop and Rebecca Willer has a very particular eye - she is absolutely in tune with my taste. Royal Crown Derby is in the highest league - they have provided me with a reassuring combination of authentic heritage and traditional craftsmanship with a refreshingly modern outlook."
Certainly a collection to add to your wedding gift list, the new homeware range will be available at Bruce Oldfield's bridal boutique at 34 Beauchamp Place, London SW3 and Willer at 12 Holland Street, London W8, as well as top-end retailers from spring 2011. Find out more at www.bruceoldfield.com.
