To celebrate the Royal Wedding, the Southbank Centre is hosting a London in Love Weekend and we can't think of a better location to host your hen party. Having spent the Friday glued to the TV, Saturday April 30 is all about putting YOU back onto the Princess pedestal.
To kick off the day, head over to the Southbank and join in their 'Wedding Party' workshop at 12noon or 1pm: it's a complimentary one-hour group dance lesson to give you a little more confidence for your own first dance (or just to have a right giggle). Next up, it's 'Today I Love'; a DIY workshop where artists and poets are on hand to help you create a romantic postcard looking at the statement 'Today I Love'. Whether it's your fiancé, the sunshine, your new Topshop blouse or your engagement ring - whatever you love today, get creative with it! It's a complimentary drop-in class between 11am and 4pm and you'll leave with a gorgeous keepsake of your hen weekend.
Finally, the evening ends in a celebration of all things romantic, wild and fabulous with the travelling party company Guilty Pleasures, who will be taking over the Southbank's Core Ballroom to host their 'Love is in the Air' club night. From 9pm until 2am, dance to the happiest, cheesiest and most feel-good songs on the planet and should you accidentally run into your stags, there's an opportunity for 12 couples to get married right there and then at the Southbank Centre! For those a little less impulsive, keep dancing the night away then catch your breath while the Guilty Pleasures performers light up the stage with their hilarious dance numbers, or head to Father Oates' confession booth for a shot of Holy Vodka. The club night costs £16 (£14 advance; see below for contact details), and guarantees a brilliant night of fun.
