9 Ways to Recycle Your Wedding Things

Although your lovely event is over, here are some eco-chic ways to preserve and reuse items from your big day.

Design a new dress from your wedding gown/bridesmaid dress either by shortening or removing the sleeves. Add embellishments to give it a modern update.

Create separates by having the dress designed into a top and a skirt. Give it a colour boost by dying it a wearable shade.

Save your dress for your own daughter or another family member.

Donate your dress to charity.

Sell your dress via a second-hand shop or Ebay.

Have your wedding bouquet preserved.

Take flowers from your bouquet, your bridesmaids' bouquet, dry them out and include them in your wedding scrapbook.

Save your place cards, wedding favours and add them to a scrapbook.

Take elements from your wedding: a piece of your wedding gown, a flower from the bouquet, a place card, etc and create an anniversary shadow box where you can take it out each anniversary to reminisce.
