Anniversary Celebrations

As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate their first wedding anniversary we've been thinking about how we marked our anniversaries... So here's how the Brides team celebrated their first year as Mr & Mrs:

"We were young, in love and knew no better so it was off to predictable Paris for a long weekend. Despite the fact that it was enormously clichéd I still remember those unrushed days, wandering from café to café without any sense of time or responsibility. Ten years on we are about to return - this time with our 3 year old daughter - something tells me this visit won't be quite so stress free!" -Jade Beer, Bride Editor

HOW TO CELEBRATE YOUR FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

"We went back to Claridges for a night of true celebration. We spend our wedding night there so it was lovely to return!" -Camilla Newman, Brides Publisher

"We went for tea at The Ritz. It was recommended to my husband by a colleague of his. It was very romantic, perhaps a bit too girly to repeat, but we did enjoy it and ate and ate!" -Kirsty Maclennan, Managing Editor

MORE POST-WEDDING IDEAS

"We went to Spain (with a couple who were our best man & bridesmaid.) We ate amazing seafood by the beach, drank sangria reminising of that wonderful day we had on the 20th June 2009" - Amanda Bolton, Advertising Account Manager

"We are going to St Tropez with another couple (good friends) who got married two weeks before us, so we're going the weekend between our wedding wedding weekends for a lovely long weekend in the South of France..." - Arabella Dupont, Retail Editor

FIRST DANCE SONGS WE LOVE

"We had just moved in to our country home and my parents were visiting from Australia. It was actually really lovely to share it with them because I planned my wedding largely without them. It was a special treat for my husband and I to share that special day with them." - Astrid Joss, Beauty and Retail Editor
