Create a garland of pretty pom-poms to decorate your chairback.

Draw two large circles (6cm diameter) onto card with a smaller circle (2cm diameter) in the middle, and cut out to form two rings.  Cut a 2m length of wool to start- working with a manageable length will avoid it tangling.  Place the rings together and begin to wind the wool around both in one direction.  Continue until the hole in the centre is roughly 8mm in diameter or you can no longer fit anymore wool through.

Cut through the wool all the way around the outer edge of the ring, right down to the card and ease the two circles slightly apart.  A ball will now be taking shape.  Tie a 30cm length of wool tightly between the two card rings. Remove the card to reveal your finished pom pom.

Thread multiple balls together to create a garland.
