Love Bites

Love Bites

Here at Brides HQ we're always looking for the next big thing in wedding nibbles (well, actually that should be the next 'little' thing - who doesn't love a mini mouthful of cuteness?!)

Whilst researching, my thoughts turned to retro treats so I'm launching a one-woman revival of Party Rings, Jammy Dodgers and French Fancies.

Such pretty colours, such easy-to-bite shapes, such fond memories of after-school tea in front of She-Ra.

They'd look adorable on cake stands and glass jars on your reception tables and cost a fraction of the price of macaroons, piped cookies or cupcakes. Now, can anyone add more retro biscuit ideas to the mix?

From supermarkets nationwide, from 75p per packet.

  • Do you remember the tiny iced gems? A tiny biscuit base with cute pastel coloured pink icing on top .I seem to remember nibbling off the icing ! My absolute favourites though were pink wafers - delish and so pretty!
