Helen Kirrane, 32, married James Renwick, 32, on 30 June 2012. She says:

"We chose MC Motors because we wanted somewhere quirky, local and fun! After a tip-off from one of our photographer friends about the location (it's often used for shoots), we went to visit and fell in love with the industrial vibe. The skylights in the centre of the warehouse give tons of light and we loved being able to drive in through the original workshop shutters to be welcomed by our guests! But the real highlights were the intimate spaces piled with vintage props (we played a round of bingo with one of its vintage machines), and the cocktail bar, Ruby's, beneath the building was ideal for people wanting to party into the night."

Kate Elders, 30, married Chris Campbell, 32, in August 2013. She says:

"A photo studio by day, MC Motors has lots of quirky props so we barely needed to decorate it. We brought in the Disappearing Dining Club, which runs pop-up dinners in East London, to do everything else. The venue looks like an ordinary shop from the outside - when our guests got off the London-style buses we'd booked to take everyone from the ceremony, their reaction was "wow"."
