Bride Mo, 27, enjoyed planning her day so much she's considering becoming a wedding coordinator. 'I arranged the flowers, decorated the cake and designed the bridesmaids'; dresses and invitations,' says Mo, an administrator. The theme for her wedding to Ian, 36, a company director, was 'clean and simple'. 'I had white orchids in my bouquet, freesias for my bridesmaids and Casablanca lilies in the tablecentres.'
After searching high and low for a venue, Mo and Martin chose
the 16th-century Priory barn, built by Henry VIII's carpenter.
'The exposed wood and stone floors made it the ideal choice for our
laid-back look,' she explains.
The bride arrived in a cream open-topped Beetle. After the 'I
dos'. Drinks were served outside followed by a sit-down meal of
beef medallions and Stilton and passion fruit tart. 'Ian and I
invented the recipe and the chef made it up,' says Mo. The tables
then made way for a dance floor where a live band the 75 guests
dancing to '70s-style music.
