When Tatler's fashion director, Anna Bromilow, 29, wed e-systems manager Dominic Poloniecki, 28, it was inevitably going to be a chic affair. The couple wanted an elegant London wedding and for their reception chose The Wallace Collection museum, which Anna, a history-of-art graduate, adores. 'Both the church we got married in [St James's, Spanish Place] and The Wallace Collection are such grand venues, we felt we could keep everything else simple,' says Anna.

'The canopied courtyard gives that wonderful feeling of outside-inside. To capture the magical feel of the last Friday before Christmas, we really focused on the lighting. Scented candles lit the steps to the reception. Inside, more candles and tea lights in glass holders were grouped with posies of white roses and tulips. 'Although it was a very special day for us, we were keen to concentrate on the guests,' says Anna. 'We wanted it to be a fabulous party as well as a wedding and made sure we had enough drinks and great music. We handed out sambuca shots to everyone - even Dom's grandmother had one!'

The couple's focus on lighting continued until the end, when they made their exit through an ark of sparkles held by guests. A cab then sped them away for their first night at Claridge's. The next day they flew to Kenya for their honeymoon.
