Yunah Hong, 31, married Daniel Kim, 29, at Terrain at Styers in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, in the US, on 11th October 2014. She says:
We always wanted to hold our reception at Terrain at Styers - it's our favourite restaurant. The restored antique greenhouse, lodge and terrace proved a beautiful setting.
After an intensive online search, I ended up buying the first dress I tried on - a silk and lace Catherine Deane gown from bhldn.com. I fell in love with it immediately.
My mum made all the soap and candles for our favours (it's a hobby of hers). The candles were lavender and gardenia, and the soaps were lavender and lemon basil. Having a Korean ceremony was a hit with guests. We dressed in trad clothing to pay respect to our parents by sharing sake and bowing. Then the groom proves his worth by parading his wife on his back in front of the families, to end the ceremony.
Our flowers were supplied by the venue from its greenhouse. Styers was originally a cut flower business, with a standing order for peonies at the White House!
Our honeymoon was the hardest thing to source. A hurricane destroyed our hotel, in Mexico, just two weeks before, so we had to make a last-minute switch to Hawaii.
Because of our attention to detail, we didn't miss any of the small touches. Then Daniel forgot his suit the night before, and had to make a two-hour trip back to get it!
Top tip: Dealing with other people's input made our experience more stressful than it had to be. Just do what you two want to do.
