Elle Liberachi, 26, married Michael Stephenson, 32, at St Nicholas's Church in Sandringham, followed by a reception at her parents' house in July 2012. She says:

"It was important for me to get married at my parents' home. An all-inclusive venue would have been more cost-effective as we wouldn't have had to hire or buy everything, but it was worth it to have my dream wedding.

Most of my planning was done on flights to fit in with my job as a model. The Brides Wedding Planner was incredibly useful for keeping everything on track!

I love interior decorating so we had five separately designed areas for different parts of the day. The natural surroundings played a key role, so we left the marquee open and lined the outside wall with lavender plants.

As I travel a lot with work, I was inspired by my favourite places. The nightclub
area - conceived because my husband is a songwriter and producer - was based on a Miami beach-club, with white Moroccan lanterns and metal plant pots. Although we hired most things for the wedding, we bought and kept the items from the nightclub section.

I put a huge amount of effort into making the stationery unique as it was
the first thing our guests would see. Instead of save-the-date cards, we sent macaroons and an illustrated timeline of our relationship.

My grandmother had the same flowers in her bouquet - lily of the valley, sweet peas, peonies and stephanotis. We also gave our mothers art deco brooches for buttonholes.

My top tip: Spend money on the things most important to you - for us it was the music and the food. My father said, 'People remember the marriage, the entertainment and the food. The rest are just extras."
