We chose Le Talbooth for its views of the River Stour. It gave our wedding photographs a romantic 'English summer' backdrop. We were lucky to have such amazing weather on the day. But the food, drink and service at the venue is also impeccable.
I wore Pronovias' Princia gown, which also happened to be the first one I tried on. As soon as I saw the sweetheart neckline and scalloped, chapel-length train, I was in love! I also purchased a full-length Pronovias veil, which looked beautifully dramatic in our photos from the day.
I think Jo Malone's Peony and Blush Suede Cologne is the perfect bridal fragrance. It's so delicate yet complex. I wore a matching Swarovski necklace and earrings from my parents, as well as a Links of London bracelet from the school where I teach. The pins in my hair were my mother's - she wore them on her own wedding day.
My maids wore Vera Wang. The blush-pink matched our palette wonderfully. Ash wore a custom suit in navy with a grey waistcoat underneath, both from Anthony Formal Wear. I just loved how everyone looked; all these elegant shades looked beautiful for a summer's day.
We served a lovely three-tiered cake from Luca's Cakes. Each tier was made of a different moist sponge: vanilla, lemon and chocolate-orange. We then had it iced white and decorated with pastel-coloured flowers to complement our colour theme.
