Nina Mistry, 34, married Ian Stevens, 37, at Château Val Joanis Vineyard, France, on 10 August 2014. She says:

"We were looking for the 'wow' factor for our venue but didn't just want a traditional French château - we wanted to make the most of the amazing Provence countryside.

We both fell in love with the vineyard's unique setting - we booked it before even visiting! The gardens are incredibly beautiful and the vineyard had a few differently styled areas, which really appealed to us both. We later found out it wasn't just us - it turns out Brad and Angelina tried to buy the château a couple of years ago as their family home.

I'm half Indian, so wanted to incorporate some Indian traditions throughout the wedding. Although the ceremony itself was 'western', at the end we both said our vows in Hindu and I wore trad Indian jewellery. At the reception, Ian and I also had a race to see who could sit down first (another Hindu tradition). I won - a wise move from Ian!

Music is important to us and we are huge fans of rock music. I walked down the aisle to The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone. It's a beautiful piece of music and it's the tune Metallica walk on stage to, so it got smiles from guests in the know.

For the entertainment, we went quirky. We screened Rocky IV from a projector on to one of the walls (a nod to the local Cannes festival) and provided outdoor boules sets.

My top tip: Personal touches are what make the day memorable for your guests and, most importantly, make the day extra-special for you and your fiancé."
