Mariella Avino, 31, married Tommaso Lillo, 32, at Duomo di Ravello, followed by a reception at Palazzo Avino on the Amalfi Coast, Italy, on 19th September 2015. She says:

My couture gown was personally made by Tamara Ralph of Ralph & Russo. It was designed to be romantic and elegant for the ceremony - a few tweaks (like removing the bow) then turned it into an evening gown.

We planned a three-day extravaganza - the majority of guests were coming from out of town and Tommaso and I wanted them to experience the best of Ravello. We had a welcome party the night before the wedding and a farewell beach do the day afterwards to thank everyone for coming.

Tommaso and I are avid foodies so serving good dishes was a priority for us. Guests were treated to sushi, ricotta and cheese and fried Neapolitan treats for the aperitivo, and then a meal of different kinds of pastas, squid and Montoro potatoes. 

For our favours, we put Hermès dessert plates, personalised menus and welcome baskets in all of our guests' rooms. I wanted friends and family to remember our special day and always think of the Amalfi Coast.

Top tip: Plan everything in advance so you get the little details right. It takes a lot of research and time to get these spot on!
