Laurel Bernick, 28, married James Taylor Bonnyman, 28, on 7 September 2014 at St Regis Deer Valley Resort, Utah in the U.S. She says:
I grew up in Utah and love the outdoors, especially the Wasatch Mountain Range. Fortunately Taylor fell in love with them as well when he started coming home with me for Thanksgiving - we had to marry here!
St Regis was the ideal place to host a wedding. The lawn has sensational views of Parley's Canyon and Salt Lake Valley - it was an incredible backdrop to our day.
I loved the soft, romantic style of my Jenny Packham dress - the embellishment and lace made it feel very special, but the simple cut and shorter train were also perfect for an outdoor wedding.
We decided to hire a marquee in case of rain but luckily for us the weather was beautiful. We opened up the sides to allow guests to see those mountain views, and hung vine-covered chandeliers from the fabric-lined ceiling for extra ambience.
My florist, Ashley, helped me choose my palette - I based it on flowers that would be in season. We both wanted to highlight the sage green and ivory of the landscape but also included pops of coral, blush pink and peach for added colour.
Our rehearsal dinner was just as much fun as the wedding itself. Taylor selected some amazing wines and cocktails, as well as creating a killer '80s playlist.
My top tip: Try not to sweat the small stuff - don't overdo Pinterest, blogs etc. What is important is getting married and celebrating with the people you love the most.
