Gosfield Hall

Former royal residence Gosfield Hall is a beautiful Georgian manor house in the heart of rural Essex.  Originally dating back to 1545 and home to the Marquis of Buckingham's ballroom, this grand stately will fulfill all of your dreams of an idyllic countryside wedding - and it's handily located just an hour and a half from central London. Nothing will compete with the memory of walking down the 120ft aisle in the Queen's Gallery to say your vows in the stunning wood-paneled chamber, surrounded by garlands and beautiful bouquets of locally sourced flowers.

For summer ceremonies, we love the newly licensed carriageway as a location - set in the middle of the majestic courtyard it's a romantic setting to say your vows. After photographs in the lush green gardens, the ornate ballroom can seat up to 116 people for your wedding breakfast, whilst exclusive use means the entire venue can cater for 250 for drinks and dancing later in the day.
