Girls actress Allison Williams has opened up about her ranch wedding that took place earlier this year.
Top of Allison's bridal wish list? Keeping her big day hush-hush; 'One of the most special things about the wedding was that it was actually very personal and very private,' she told Page Six at a film premiere on Wednesday evening.
The actress went to great lengths to keep her September do a secret, even distracting paparazzi with a decoy site.
She continued, 'It was something that mattered to me in a sense of just wanting it to feel really intimate, and to feel like an experience that we shared as a family and with our closest friends.'

Another celebrity perk was her dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta's creative director; 'Peter [Copping] grew up being around horses and ranches and immediately understood the aesthetic I was going to be in,' Allison commented on the design. 'It came together kind of organically.'

Girls actress Allison Williams married her long-term boyfriend Ricky Van Veen on Saturday in a secret ceremony.

Although Allison kept the big day under wraps, she did reveal one detail; her stunning Oscar de la Renta gown.

The actress posted a picture of herself with her new husband, captioning the snap simply with her wedding date '9.19.15'. Against the dramatic backdrop of Wyoming countryside, Allison looks every inch the classic bride with her demure illusion neckline, long sleeves and full skirt with floral accents. The details were full romance; a cathedral-length veil added drama whilst her simple low bun and chic stud earrings gave a modern feel. Divine!
According to PageSix.com, the guest list was full of A-listers including Bruce Springsteen, Diane von Furstenberg, Tom Hanks, Allison's father US news anchor Brian Williams, and her co-stars Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke. Us Weekly reported that Katy Perry and John Mayer were also guests.

Congratulations to Girls star Allison Williams, whom is set to wed her boyfriend of three years, Ricky Van Veen.
Her rep confirmed the news to People magazine, but Allison's desire to settle down and have kids has long been public knowledge.
She has oten spoken out about how she would "walk away from her career" for family life with Ricky, the co-founder of website College Humour.
"I'd love to be a mom - and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]," Williams told US GLAMOUR. "But you've [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent."
Allison, who rose to fame playing unlucky-in-love Marnie in the hit HBO show Girls, met Ricky through mutual friends.
After three years of dating, he reportedly was quite traditional about the proposal, asking Allison's dad - an NBC news anchor - for her hand in marriage before popping the question.
We can already imagine she will make the most beautiful of brides, but more importantly, will Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet be her bridesmaids?
