The bride wore... silver lace Valentino!
Almost two months after Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch tied the knot, images and details of the bride's dress have been revealed.
Valentino added a picture of Sophie's custom-made wedding dress to their Instagram, photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the May issue of Vogue magazine.
The dress, which Sophie wore to the Valentine's Day ceremony, is fairly traditional, featuring a demure high neck and long sleeves, whilst a wide skirt flatters her frame during her blossoming pregnancy. The gown is classical Valentino, described by its creators as a "high-waisted medieval gown".
Sophie is pictured with Valentino Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli who created the dress in just three months - half the lead time usually required on a bespoke designer gown!
According to Vogue, during the intital brainstorm, Sophie showed the Valentino duo Anna Karenina-inspired dresses and Gustav Klimt landscapes, resulting in a show-stopping silver gown expertly detailed with motifs of vines and pomegranates.
Speaking to Vogue, Sophie said, "It feels very much of nature, and it's so detailed and extraordinary that I'm still trying to get my head around how beautiful it is."
We think it's beautiful too! OdC

Cumberbabes, brace yourselves… Benedict is married!
The Sherlock actor, 38, tied the knot to Sophie Hunter, 36, in a Valentine's Day ceremony on the Isle of Wight. Confirming the wedding, the actor's spokeswoman told BBC Radio 1 that "it was a magical day". Picking the most romantic day of the year certainly set the tone for a swoon-worthy big day…

According to the Daily Mail, celebrations kicked off on Friday night at Yarmouth's George Hotel as the couple partied with 140 guests.
Forty family and friends then joined the couple for a private ceremony in the picturesque 12th century Mottistone Church of St Peter and St Paul. The wedding party arrived at 3pm ahead of the bride's entrance in a classic white dress at just after 3.20pm.
Guests included War Horse co-star Tom Hiddleston and fellow Sherlock stars Andrew Scott - a.k.a. Moriarty - and Martin Freeman who is rumoured to have been best man.
The party then made their way to the adjacent National Trust-owned Mottistone Manor after the hour-long ceremony. Sophie is thought to be a distant relation of the first Lord Mottistone, whose descendants now live in the manor.
The couple were keen to keep the ceremony a secret; roads surrounding the village of Mottistone were blocked and hotel staff sworn to secrecy. Our favourite tactic? The perfectly timed white van which pulled up outside the church to conceal the newlyweds just as they made their exit. A rather ingenious move that may echo the 2012 TV series finale for Sherlock fans!
Congratulations to the newlyweds! SH
