I'm backtracking just a little this week by realising that I have overlooked the small detail of sourcing invitations for our upcoming engagement party. Plans for the party are in full swing, but I'm now on the hunt for gorgeous invitations. Of all the suppliers that I've researched, here is my shortlist of favourites: Paul Antonio Scribe. I love his beautiful scripts and his exquisite calligraphy designs. Ask him to design a monogram incorporating your initials, or inscribing the lyrics of your favourite song, or a quote you both like in white ink onto some brightly coloured card. I even like the idea of a plain card with the words, 'She said yes' written on the front. www.paulantonioscribe.com Lily Anna Rose. Check out the newly-designed website and pretty engagement cards at www.lilyannarose.com. Really simple, but oh-so smart for the couple that likes things understated. Confetti. Drinks coaster cards are a fun alternative to a standard invitation and a cool way to invite friends to celebrate your engagement. There's a chic retro wedding design on one side and space on the back of the coaster to add your own details. www.confetti.co.uk Romeo + Jules Stationery. If you, like me, are a huge fan of letter pressed designs, where the images and text are literally pressed straight into the paper, then I recommend you get in touch with the very talented Jennifer at www.romeoandjulesstationery.com. She will work closely with you to design an invitation that reflects your personal style as couple.
