Weddings, and all their unexpected drama, make for some of the most memorable moments on a scripted television show. Think: Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe chugging a few beers on the couch; Harry spilling red wine on Charlotte's dress; and the entire final season of How I Met Your Mother. So naturally, the bridal looks worn by our favorite characters make a lasting impact on the legacy of their story.

From the perfectly puffed sleeve dresses featured on classic '90s shows like General Hospital and Full House to more recent, gorgeous gowns like Charlotte's Vera Wang and Badgley Mischka looks on Sex and the City, TV wedding dresses have certainly evolved over the years. Of course, we can't forget about the most fashion-forward bride to grace the small screen: Molly Carter and her breathtaking Oscar de la Renta gown on Insecure.

However, you don't have to be a famous fictional character to have an iconic wedding moment, and brides can easily draw inspiration from some of their favorite reality celebs like Kim Kardashian (obviously!) and Catherine Lowe from The Bachelor. If nothing else, you can look to these women (whether their marriages lasted or not) for guidance on how to make your personality pop down the aisle.

Now ditch Netflix and satisfy your nostalgia by scrolling through the most iconic wedding dresses ever worn on television.

After reconnecting in Seattle, Maggie and Winston were finally set to tie the knot, but not before jumping through several hurdles like a global pandemic. The surgeon opted for a one-shoulder, tea-length dress for her micro-ceremony, but in true Grey's Anatomy plot twists, she didn't get the chance to say "I do" in that ensemble. Maggie later wore a traditional, lace fit-and-flare gown at her official ceremony, which occurred several months later in front of friends and family.

Of all of the weddings on Sex and the City, Charlotte's second marriage to Harry had us the most anxious due to the many unexpected mishaps that occurred during the celebration. However, the one thing that was a success, was her Badgley Mischka gown! The flutter off-the-shoulder sleeves and gentle embroidery were a romantic change from her first wedding to Trey, for which she wore a very princess-like ball gown.

This also marked Rachel's final appearance on the show, because her real-life persona, Markle, would soon walk down the aisle to become the Duchess of Sussex.
