The corner of Motcomb Street is currently home to something very special. A shoe paradise awaits you at the Christian Louboutin boutique enticing you in with a promise of both a mesmerising new season and timeless classics. A small (but perfectly formed) window into the exquisite Christian Louboutin world.
A Christian Louboutin iconic red sole transcends accessory into an essential component to your big-day look. And so, Brides teamed up with Christian Louboutin to launch their Motcomb street bridal pop-up which is taking place throughout April.
Brides readers were invited for an exclusive sneak-peak preview of new season wedding shoes that Christian Louboutin has designed as the ultimate party piece.
In a live Q+A, Retail Editor Kendra Leaver-Rylah and Editor-in-chief Jade Beer took a look at the hottest bridal trends of 2019, from jaw-dropping flower displays to make-up, and of course the legendary craftsmanship of Louboutins.
We paired a selection of showstopping heels with Temperley Bridal dresses, the perfect partnership of two bridal brands carving the way for a contemporary, stylish bride.
Classic crepe satin combines with a tease of PVC in the Nosy Strass, a shoe which plays on transparency, designed to elongate the leg with crystals that appear to float on the foot. Sitting under the tiered ruffles of the Mimi dress, this look combined elegance with 1920s spirited glamour.
All eyes were drawn to the frivolous iridescent sequins of the Lila dress, in tandem with the Marie Edwina shoes adorned with Ostrich feathers. Inspired by a close friend who was fond of cabaret, Christian designed these shoes with theatrics in mind, a showstopping shoe demanding centre stage. A non-traditional but eminently wearable combination, this look was made for spinning around on the dance floor into the early hours of the morning.
The final look of the day showcased the Lady Strass in Metal and Suede, a new special-order piece which guests were invited to try at the event. Undoubtedly the most popular look of the day, these bejewelled beauties shone from underneath the colourful embroidery of the Bibi dress, a gown which is reminiscent of an English summer’s day. This look is ultra-feminine and romantic, perfect for a ‘festival’ bride.
Each look was complete with beauty and hair styling by In Parlour, the number one mobile beauty service for your wedding day.
As guests helped themselves to another glass of champagne and had personal sessions with the Christian Louboutin team, we all came to the same exciting conclusion – there is a pair of Louboutins to suit every bride on their special day.
If you missed our event, don't panic - the Motcomb store will be a bridal pop-up throughout April.
