Volpe strongly recommends paying attention to the material when browsing options. "It's easy to identify based on the fabric content how luxe the quality of the garment will be," she notes. "Look for something chic and somewhat timeless, breathable for busting a move, and grade-A quality," says Volpe, adding that wrinkle resistance is a nice bonus considering how long weddings (and surrounding events) are.
- Skirt or Pant Options
"Bridal separates are two-piece sets (or more!) versus a one-piece traditional wedding gown," explains Volpe. While most sets consist of tops combined with skirts in varied hemline lengths, a pants or shorts option can also be an elegant choice. Volpe says to "think of a fun, funky, festive crop top and pant set or [a] bohemian-style blouse and elevated crochet skirt." She personally recommends the Ronny Kobo Foxxy Satin Tailored Bridal Vest Set as a pant set. And you always have the option to buy a complementing top and bottom that aren't necessarily meant to be a set—whether from the same brand or two different garment-makers.
