Let's face it: We've all experienced that feeling - part anxiety, part frustration - that always occurs when we have to visit a beauty counter.
Thankfully, Clinique knows not only what we want for our make-up and skincare, but also what our shopping needs entail. And to prove it they've launched a brand new interactive counter in London's Selfridges.
If you are looking to find out what products you need and don't want to speak to a stranger about it (hey, we've all been there) you can take advantage of the 27 on-the-counter iPads to guide you through your skincare requirements before printing off your skin 'wishlist' on the spot.
For the more of a 'hands on' shoppers out there, you can enjoy the Science Museum-style Experience Bar which brings a sensorial take on their products. Press a button to dispense a sample of your chosen merchandise and listen to the playful sounds - the 'shrinking' sound for the Pore Refining Serum, or water sounds for the moisturizing creams - for an added lighthearted element.
And if you are in a rush and don't have time to stop and play (although you really should) there are a very handy 'Grab & Go' sections.
They really have thought of it all!
