Constance Moofushi opened last November on a tiny island in the South Ari Atoll, a 20-minute seaplane hop from Malé. It's a four-star resort because it doesn't offer room service or private pools in its 120 villas, but it won't disappoint, thanks to the brilliant service and a wonderful spa. Best of all, wines that you'd pay at least £60 for elsewhere are part of the all-inclusive package. The decor is simple, yet the mod-cons are slick. Opt for the Cristal package, which includes meals, cocktails, wine, plus a snorkelling excursion, dhoni sunset cruise and one dinner in Alizée Grill, the à la carte restaurant, serving lobster. Wow factor: If you avoid the spa, you could leave the island with a room bill of zero. So don't think twice about tucking in to the mini bar for a sunset drink.
