These easy-to-make tissue-paper pompoms will add a fabulous finish to your cupcakes and venue.
Stack eight sheets of tissue paper, from light to dark. Trim to size - 15cm square for cupcake pompoms, 30cm for hanging pompoms. Create a concertina effect - fold over 2cm, turn the sheet over and fold again. Continue until complete. Tie a piece of floristry wire around the centre of the paper bundle to secure. Use scissors to create curved edges at both ends. Separate out the layers, one end then the other, to form a ball. Tie the string in the middle of a large pompom to hang it. Insert a toothpick in a small pompom and place the other end in a cupcake.
