Give your guests a little hint of your theme with painted invitations.

Type and print the text on your selected paper, with double line spacing. Use narrow masking tape to cover each line of text. Decant paint in three shades into dishes. Starting with the darkest colour at the bottom of the sheet of paper, use a sponge or brush to dab on the paint. Work your way to the top, gradually introducing the lighter shades in each strip. When the paint is dry, carefully peel off the tape. Punch each invite and decorate with ribbon. To make envelope liners, cut paper to shape using an envelope as a template. Paint the liners as above, then attach with spray mount.
