The line-up of content at this season's Brides The Show is stronger than it's ever been before.
We've devoted seven pages in the September/October 2017 issue to telling you all about it, but I have reserved this spot to announce the very special guest we will be welcoming to our opening preview night on Friday 29th September.
I am so honoured to reveal that British couturier Giles Deacon - the designer behind Pippa Middleton's globally applauded and wonderfully elegant wedding gown - will be joining us to unveil his dedicated couture exhibition within Brides the Show.
Visitors will be able to step into his magical presentation of the perfect wedding party, a gorgeously bohemian English wedding day and a celebration of accessible eccentricity for the bride, her mother, her maids and her wedding guests.
'When designing a couture bridal gown, I always look for it to deliver a shared vision of myself and the client's desires, a sense of uniqueness and timelessness and a bride who is totally at ease with it, so she can concentrate on having the most wonderful day,' says Giles. 'In that sense, a wedding is the perfect occasion to consider a couture dress. It may be a once-in-a-lifetime purchase, but it comes with the knowledge that it has been made for you with craftsmanship and consideration that is second to none.'
Come and listen to Giles and I live in conversation as we discuss what goes into the making of a special bespoke gown, and gain an exclusive insight into how this great designer works. Then chat to Giles yourself as we invite you to join us at an intimate drinks party in the exhibition space.
Ask him about your big-day fashion dilemmas and gain his personal expertise and advice on how to create a look you'll love for a lifetime. 'Brides the Show is THE place to come and get inspired and to see the best of every aspect of a wedding day, from the planning to the flowers and, of course, the dresses,' adds Giles. And we hope to welcome you all there later in the year. Tickets are now on sale at bridestheshow.co.uk
