Come and see our star-studded panel of wedding-planning aficionados at Brides the Show! On the morning of Saturday 22nd, we've got one of our favourite bridal designers, a beauty QUEEN, a brilliant photographer, two recently married brides (who also happen to be super-talented) and a bride-to-be with a huge social following! It's going to be fabulous. Not one to miss. Read on to learn more about how brilliant these women are.
As the former head of digital for the British Fashion Council and Matthew Williamson, fashion consultant Rosanna is a bit of a tech whizz. When she’s not busy being co-founder of FashMash, a community that unites people in the fashion, digital and technology industries, she’s probably baking or throwing a gorgeous Instagrammable dinner party. Rosanna married George Ryan last summer at a colourful high-style wedding in the Cotswolds. And she wore a couture dress designed by Matthew Williamson himself, which will be on display at the show! She says: “I can’t wait for Brides the Show because it’s a good excuse to get my wedding dress out and gush about it all over again.”
Rose Gallagher (AKA Mixed Gems Beauty)
Rose, who is often referred to by her blog name, Mixed Gems, knows a thing or two about beauty. She’s a make-up artist by trade and is known for her insightful product reviews (she’s a proper beauty junkie!) and helpful online tutorials. Unsurprisingly, Rose says she can’t wait for Brides the Show, as it’s going to be a feast for her number one passion in life. “Getting my teeth into all the different beauty looks a bride can wear on the big day is going to be very fun.”
Top model and Platforms and Pushchairs blogger Portia is still on Cloud 9 following her stunning Dorset wedding with Kooks musician Pete Denton this summer. She knows exactly what wedding-planning stress is, as she juggled hers with a busy job, as well as looking after the couple’s two young children. Portia says she’s been suffering from post-wedding blues, so her top tip to you is: “Just enjoy the whole process because it goes so, so fast. Whether you have a one- or two-year engagement (or longer!), it’ll fly by. Enjoy that time with your husband-to-be.”
Josie Fear (AKA Fashion Mumblr)
The Founder of Fashion Mumblr (who's also a photographer an entrepreneur) has amassed a huge social following with her chic jet-set style. At the same time as beavering away editing her blog and working with top brands, Josie has been organising her own wedding. So far, she's found outside pressure has been the trickiest thing to navigate during wedding planning. She thinks that the best thing for any bride to remember is that it’s their day: “don’t feel obliged to live up to other people’s expectations or allow them to pressure you into something you don’t want to do.”
If you don’t know Savannah Miller’s wedding dresses, you should. The fashion designer (and sister of Sienna) launched her bridal collection a few years ago, in a collaboration with Stone Fox Bride. Now she has her own eponymous collection of beautiful wedding dresses, known for their bohemian and whimsical style. Her top tips for getting the dress right? Brides-to-be should always choose something that makes them look and feel their best. Anyone else’s opinion is irrelevant!
Travel and fashion photographer Victoria has a knack for making things look effortlessly lovely and flies all over the world to find those perfect shots. Her blog, Victoria’s Stories, is full of drool-worthy photos that give followers a boost of wanderlust. Her best advice to all brides-to-be? Spend enough time with your photographer on the day. “Ask him to be with you from morning 'til night, because those pictures will be a beautiful reminder of your day for years to come.”
