It's official, the most romantic day of the year is (almost) here!
It's not Valentine's day, Christmas day or New Year's Eve - it's actually a Sunday slap bang in the middle of the year. According to new research from floral experts Interflora, the most popular day for proposals is on Sunday 25th June, 2017.
Interflora quizzed 1,500 unmarried couples across the UK and asked what date they were planning to propose to their partner, with 25th June coming out on top.
We are firmly in summer wedding season, so could this be the reason for the popularity? You've probably heard of the 'domino' effect - once one of your friendship group is married, it's likely the rest of you will follow rather swiftly.
We've also just had the longest day of the year - and the hottest day in June in 40 years. Wouldn't it be nice to say 'I do' on summer solstice in June 2018.
Or, perhaps it's the fact that 25th June is the final day of Glastonbury, and with Ed Sheeran playing (the most popular artist for first dance songs, FYI), we expect there to be a few proposals in the crowd.
