Rachel Brosnahan Reveals She Has Been Married for Years

The star previously kept her marriage under wraps.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan has been keeping a marvelous secret. The 28-year-old actress opened up to People during Sunday night's 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards about her marriage to actor Jason Ralph, revealing that the two have actually been married for years.

“We’ve been married for years and been together for even longer,” said Brosnahan in the interview. “We had a good laugh when the news came out that we had just got married, like ‘Happy six-month anniversary, honey!’ ”

Brosnahan, who has raked in a Golden Globe, a SAG award, and an Emmy for her portrayal of stand-up comedian Midge Maisel on the Amazon show shared a kiss with her Ralph before she took to the stage Sunday night. During her speech, she expressed her disbelief to be accepting the award and honored those who helped create the award-winning show.

“I’ve wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember, and to be able to count all of you in the room as my peers, and let alone stand on this stage is beyond my wildest dreams,” the actress began. "Our too often unsung background actors who work the same hours as us and share the same union as us. I couldn’t be luckier to be a part of this amazing group of artists.”

Though the couple keeps their relationship private, People notes that both have worn wedding bands on their ring fingers since they attended the 2018 Emmy Awards together. The two first started dating while filming the WGN series Manhattan in 2015. A source revealed that the two had married had only married last year, although they had not announced the news themselves.

Brosnahan thanked her husband during the 2019 Golden Globes.

“Jason, I love you. I wouldn’t be here at all without you. Thank you,” she said.
