Here at BRIDES, we are always fans of royal weddings, and the grandeur and tradition that comes with each historic event. Such was the case when Duchess Sophie von Württemberg of Germany married Count Maximilien d'Andigné this past October in Tegernsee, near the Bavarian Alps in Germany. Of course, paparazzi photos emerged that very weekend, and our editors—along with the rest of the world—ooh'ed and ahh'ed over the bride's simple, long-sleeved gown (hello, vibes!) and the couple's adorably clad attendants. But then we remembered: They are just like the rest of us, celebrating their nuptials in a private, special event surrounded by their family and friends. They exchanged vows, shared toasts, danced late into the night—and had a private wedding photographer on hand to capture every special moment.

Lucky for you (and us!), the couple decided to share their intimate wedding album, as captured by photographer Jimena San Miguel of Volvoreta, exclusively with BRIDES. Keep scrolling for an inside look at Sophie and Max's epic, emotional, and real (!!) wedding photos. Believe us: They more than deliver on royal wedding #inspo.

On September 15, 2018, the couple first married in a civil ceremony in Altshausen, a small municipality in southern Germany. These official nuptials were followed by a religious ceremony on October 20, 2018. The second event took play in Tegernsee, which is shown above.

Sophie is a descendant of the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg near Bavaria, and she is also related to the Orléanist claimant to the French throne, Prince Henri, Count of Paris.

For her wedding day, the bride chose to wear two custom dresses: one for the church ceremony and reception, and one for the cocktail party and dancing that followed. She paired both gowns with a family tiara, an heirloom veil, and her engagement ring from Max, who proposed in July 2017 while on vacation in Venice, Italy. The final touch? A romantic bouquet of bright pink roses and baby's breath.

In European tradition, the bride and groom were surrounded by an entourage of young attendants. The five bridesmaids wore white dresses accented with red ribbons and crowns of baby's breath, while the two page boys wore traditional morning coats.

On the big day, the bride arrived at the church with her father, Prince Philip of Württemberg. Philip is the son of Duke Carl Württemberg, the House of Württemberg's patriarch. Per royal wedding tradition, the processional included a slew of smartly dressed children, who escorted the bride down the aisle and helped with her stately dress.

Sophie and Max wed in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St.Quirin Church in Tegernsee, Germany. During the ceremony, a choir and music ensemble performed Mozart's "Krönungsmesse" (German for "Coronation Mass") throughout most of the mass.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their bridal party marched down the street in a celebratory parade, which included dozens of onlookers and confetti. Notably, the church's entrance was marked with an installation of pink flowers. The pink floral theme was carried out in other elements of the day's decor, from the groom's boutonniere and the bridal bouquet to the arrangements at their post-ceremony reception.

The newlyweds also made time to capture portraits in the fall foliage.

Sophie and Max got a first look at the elegantly decorated dinner space, making sure to take in the special setting. As mentioned, Sophie had a second look for the occasion. Her dress featured a scooped back lined with delicate lace, and she also changed her hair into in a chic ponytail—still keeping on the family tiara, of course!

Toasts took place during dinner, and the couple's friends made them both laugh and cry throughout the evening.

Though Sophie and Max's royal wedding began on a public note with onlookers outside their church ceremony, it ended very much in private, with the couple sharing their first dance to a waltz by Coppélia.

Cheers to the happy couple and their beautiful wedding album!
