March 26, 2015: First Meeting

After ending her engagement to rapper Future in 2014, Ciara met her future husband Russell for the first time at a University of Wisconsin basketball game on March 26, 2015. Their conversation led to Russell asking the singer to dinner, even though he already had plans with friends. Ciara agreed and the quarterback quickly changed his plans to make time for her—and he ended up forgetting about his other dinner reservation. "I completely forgot about the 10:30 [p.m.] dinner," he recalled on Instagram Live. "Next thing I knew, it was 12:00 [a.m.], 12:30 [a.m.], and I was sold on you."

April 28, 2015: Appearing at the White House

A month later, Russell and Ciara made their first public debut as a couple at a White House State Dinner on April 28, 2015.

July 7, 2015: Waiting Until Marriage

During an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson, the Seattle Seahawk's star revealed he and his then-girlfriend were abstaining from sex, per Popsugar. "She was in the dressing room getting ready to go before she went on stage, and she was sitting there, and God spoke to me and said, 'I need you to lead her,'" Russell recalled of making the decision while Ciara was on tour. "And I was like, 'Really?' And he was like, 'No, I want you to lead her.' So I told her, 'What would you do if we took all of that extra stuff off the table and just did it Jesus's way?'"

He then added, "I ain't going to lie to you all now. I need you all to pray for us. I know you've seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15."

March 11, 2016: Russell Proposes to Ciara

Just a year after first meeting, the couple became engaged after Russell proposed while vacationing in Seychelles. "She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one. No Greater feeling," wrote the NFL player on Instagram. Ciara's engagement ring features a round, brilliant-cut diamond flanked by trapezoid and pear-shaped diamonds on either side.

July 6, 2016: Wedding in England

After a four-month-long engagement, Russell and Ciara secretly wed on July 6, 2016, at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England.

Ciara wore a stunning long-sleeved Roberto Cavalli ball gown adorned in lace. Her veil also included a sentimental touch: Russell's initials.

October 5, 2016: Expecting a Baby

On Ciara's 31st birthday, the singer revealed some exciting news on Instagram: She was pregnant! While Ciara was already mom to son Future, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé of the same name, the pregnancy marked her first child with her new husband! April 28, 2017: Sienna Princess Wilson Is Born

Ciara and Russell welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sienna Princess Wilson, on April 28, 2017.

In what would be the first of a few joint business ventures, the new parents partnered with the Portland Diamond Project to help bring a major league baseball team to the Oregon city.

April 29, 2019: Another Business Venture

In April of 2019, Ciara and Russell announced another joint business venture: a production company. Called Why Not You Productions, the Grammy-winning singer and Super Bowl-winning quarterback hoped "to impact lives. That’s what we want to do at the end of the day—even from the kids space. We just want to tell stories that connect with the world and to the emotions," per The Hollywood Reporter.

August 13, 2019: Owners of the Seattle Sounders

Their business endeavors didn't end with their production company either. In August of 2019, the couple became part of the ownership group for the Seattle Sounders, a soccer team. Russell tweeted the news, @ciara and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the Seattle @SoundersFC one of the best soccer franchises in the world! We can't wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything!"

January 30, 2020: Expecting Another Baby

While vacationing in Turks & Caicos at the end of January 2020, both Russell and Ciara turned to Instagram to announce they were expanding their family. "Number 3," they both captioned their posts alongside an image of the singer's growing baby bump.

April 14, 2020: It's a Boy

With the help of their two children, the couple launched confetti into the sky to reveal the gender of their upcoming baby. To young Future's delight, Ciara was expecting a boy.

July 23, 2020: Win Harrison Wilson Is Born

December 11, 2023: A Growing Family

The Wilson family just got a new member. On December 11, 2023, Ciara revealed on Instagram that she gave birth to a baby girl, Amora Princess Wilson. The singer uploaded a photo of her newborn daughter wearing a black onesie and a matching hat engraved with "Amora." "Amora Princess Wilson 9lbs 1oz We Love You so much!" her caption said.
