Perhaps the most asked question in the bridal world: Who pays for what? More specifically, who pays for the ushers' suit hire and bridesmaid dresses?
"There are no rules when it comes to paying for your wedding party's wears or gifts," says planner Caroline Hale. "If you can work the cost of their outfits into your budget, that is the best-case scenario, as you tend to find people want more of a say if they're carrying the cost."
"However, if you are working to a small budget, you may find the majority of ushers and bridesmaids are happy to foot the bill. But tact and consideration are key in this situation. Falling in love with a £500 gown and asking them to pay is bound to cause problems, so bear this in mind when looking."
