Brides online content editor Sarah Hourahane is no stranger to social media, writing over 100 posts per week. She says:
If you aren't comfortable with having any social media at your do - and want to opt for an 'unplugged wedding' - just add a polite note on your invitations and order of service. 'We want you to enjoy your day so please save any social media posts until after the wedding when we've posted our official pictures online', should do the trick.
Alternatively, if you're cool with people posting on the day but you want to ensure you can see them too, encourage them to use a hashtag. Include it on your invitations and on signs around your venue.
Ask one of your 'maids to be the 'tweeter of honour' to keep an eye on posts and share your fave moments as well - this way you can capture the fun and encourage sharing among guests without having to have a phone glued to your hand for the whole day! This will also help to set the tone of the posts so that guests are less likely to post something you'd rather they didn't.
