Gabrielle Taylor, founder of London-based bridal concierge White Dossier, tells us all about her brand-new service, which specialises in helping brides find their dream wedding gown.

Why did you set up your bridal concierge service?

When I got engaged, I'd been working as a fashion designer for over a decade, so, by the time I was choosing my wedding dress, I knew exactly what I wanted. But despite my clear vision, I really struggled to find what I was looking for! It made me wonder how difficult it must be for brides who don't even know where to start in their search for 'the one'. That's when I had the idea to create White Dossier. Many couples now hire a wedding planner to help them realise their dream day and ensure it runs smoothly. My own dress hunt highlighted just how useful it would be to have access to a bridal fashion 'planner' - someone to help you navigate the bridal market and ensure you look and feel just as you'd hoped to on your wedding day.

What's White Dossier's mission?

Our bridal concierge service was set up to ensure that from the moment you walk down that aisle, you feel the very best version of yourself, gliding through each event with complete confidence and ease. White Dossier wants to be your well-connected, stylish best friend. It's our mission to ensure brides-to-be get all the attention and special service they deserve. As a bridal concierge, we want to elevate each client's experience and, of course, enhance their big day style.

How do you help brides?

In the age of social media, everything is so accessible but, in the same vein, there can be a distinct lack of practical information. Sometimes inspiration isn't enough. Brides need to be able to locate and buy what they've seen online, whether on a Pinterest board or Instagram wall. That's where we come in! At White Dossier, we cut through the clutter to present brides with well-considered and seriously exciting outfit recommendations. We work with both bridal and non-bridal brands to discover what's new and beautiful, showing there's no rule book to follow when it comes to your big day style. Many of our clients are also interested in bespoke gowns, and we find that lots of them appreciate us guiding them through the process. (We have our favourites to work with, from established brands such as Elie Saab to more up-and-coming names such as Emma Beaumont.)

Is your sole focus on wedding dresses?

As well as expertly helping brides find 'the dress', our team works with clients to create complete looks for engagement celebrations, pre- and post-wedding parties, as well as honeymoon wardrobes. We can also help dress anyone in your wedding party, including bridesmaids, the couple's mothers or even the groom. Some brides like to have our team by their side throughout the entire dress journey, from scheduling bridal appointments and attending them, to helping them get dressed on the morning of the wedding. Others may have already found their dress and just need help finding the perfect shoes! At White Dossier, we understand that each of you has individual needs, so we cater our services accordingly.

White Dossier also loves to bring lesser-known and previously overseas brands to the UK through exclusive Trunk Shows with our partner, The Wedding Gallery in Marylebone London. For example, we're hosting New York-based bridal label Danielle Frankel in Europe for the first time. A great example of an emerging talent we want to showcase. The same goes for Paris-based Les Heroines, who we often recommend to clients who're looking for bridesmaid outfits that their best friends will want to wear again and again.
