Anna Wintour has entered the white zone! Momentarily, at least, for her son…
The formidable Ameican Vogue editor hosted an extravagant wedding for her son Charlie Shaffer at her Long Island Estate on Saturday.
Shaffer, a third year medical student at Columbia University, tied the knot with 27-year-old Elizabeth Cordry at the Wintour's mid 19th-century American white clapboard weekend home known as 'Mastic' - hence the #masticinlove and #thismasticmoment tags on Instagram.
The wedding was a private affair, but lucky for us, the many (many) fashionable guests shared little insights to the chic do via their Instagram accounts.
Bee Shaffer, the groom's sister, posted a picture of the bride's Oscar de la Renta gown with the caption "always a bridesmaid". Shaffer herself wore a Prada dress and the mother-of-the-groom is said to have worn Chanel, although she was not pictured in the candid insta-snaps.
As well as her estate, the London-born editor also loaned out her extensive contact book to ensure the nuptials were picture perfect. Bridesmaids wore Prada, the groom dressed head-to-toe in Burberry and all six flower girls wore matching Alexander McQueen dresses.
Guests were serenaded by a string quartet which played from a tree-house during the ceremony and lush floral arrangements added to the romantic country feel of the do.
The newlyweds danced under the night sky at the outdoor reception, where British-born DJ Chelsea Leyland is said to have performed.
Following their perfect day, the newlyweds jetted off to the Rocky Mountains for their honeymoon.
All in all, it was very beautiful, as you'd expect from Wintour - and we have to admit: we are a little (read: very) jealous.
