Ines Di Santo, Queen of the ‘wow’ gown has bought her glamour, drama and attention to detail yet again to a fabulous Spring/Summer 2018 collection shown at New York Bridal Week. Whilst silhouettes were kept relatively slinky, the drama came in the details, from trains metres long and extra-wide fishtails to cascading peplum ruffles. Whilst white was the colour to be seen in (save for a spectacular scarlet red finale gown), it was all about texture: think raised, heavy lace to accentuate shoulders and busts and slivers of delicate beading. The scene stealers? We loved some of the more simple silouhettes designed for exit dressing: these trains were big, from a lace cape to neat bow that extended way beyond the train, we can’t wait to see them walking up the aisle.
