Jacqui Goldhill, 35, married Julian Segal, 41, in London, in March 2012. She says:" We knew it was going to be a big wedding as we both have large families, but we still wanted the day to feel intimate and down-to-earth,
We got married at the Central Synagogue in London followed by a reception at the Landmark Hotel.
My dress started as a very simple design but grew into something really special. I'm not very girly but the designer, Stephanie Allin, persuaded me to add crystals to give it some sparkle.
We saw a handful of florists but Scarlet & Violet suited our style. We wanted the flowers to make an impact but also to reflect a relaxed atmosphere.
The dessert room was a highlight. We dedicated an entire room to it, and had everything from crepes Suzette to ice cream, and a chocolate fountain.
The Marks & Spencer cake caused much debate. People thought that a shop-bought cake wouldn't fit the event, but once they saw the price, it won the day.
My Top Tip: Delegate! It meant I could really relax and enjoy myself on the day and not have to worry about the details."
