Bring on the romance in the City of Love! Fashion Director Bryony Toogood shares her top wedding-worthy picks from Paris Fashion Week:
Like a veritable bag of delicious eye candy, Vionnet wrapped its modern cuts in sheer tulle capes. An almost all full-length collection of delicate dresses and tunics over floaty pants, the catwalk was filled with soft shades of toffee, Parma violet, peach and ice white, featuring delicate lace panels and subtle pleating.
We swooned over the most beautiful bride-style offering from the shows so far at Alexis Mabille. A Spanish-style tiered skirt – with a bow-sash cinched waist – and a wide-sleeved, lace trim blouse – romantic and sexy all in one!
And for the bride who loves to borrow from the boys? Look to Rochas, where creamy silk suiting, oversized shirts and singlet dresses were kept feminine with delicate rose embroidery, crystal-embellished collars, tiers of lace ruffles, deep flounces and Perspex lace stilettos.
From Chloe to Christian Dior, Balenciaga to Balmain, finishing off with Chanel, Valentino and Moncler Gamme Rouge, Paris captivated us with sheer romance and a care-free spirit.
