Brides-to-be looking for an opulent wedding dress will love the latest bridal collection from London designer Phillipa Lepley.
Inspired by the impact of being at one with nature, the collection matches Phillipa's signature silhouettes with pretty petals, playful feathers and dainty polka-dots. Luxury fabrics used throughout the collection include satin organza, duchesse satin and French Chantilly lace, while Phillippa has also incorporated hidden corsets into all of the dresses to add extra definition at the waist.
"As always my collection is so varied and there are so many very different 'looks'. The common thread is that every dress has been crafted with such precision from high quality fabrics using completely couture techniques, but they are all totally unique," says Philippa.
"I am looking forward to showing the collection to brides who are looking for a dress that will stand the test of time but with real 'wow' factor, and helping them find 'the one' that is right for them."
Of all the different techniques Phillipa worked with, her favourite was the ostrich feathers on the 'Floating Feathers' gown, as worn by real bride Hui Xu.
"I loved working with the ostrich feathers as they are so natural, fluid and fun. I love the movement the dress has in it and how it showcases craftsmanship."
To compliment the whismy of the new designs, Phillipa chose to photograph the collection at Aynhoe Park, a wedding venue beloved for its opulent and eccentric details.
"I love the quirky, unusual touches around every corner, however the overall aesthetic is very elegant," says Phillipa of Aynhoe Park. "The team were unfailingly enthusiastic and efficient, and great fun to work with too!"
