Brides celebrated the launch of Editor Jade Beer’s debut novel The Almost Wife with a glamorous party at Claridge’s. Taking place in the Clarence Room, Moriarty Events transformed the space, with the help of Great Hire, into a glamorous summer wedding complete with flowers, candles, flowing Champagne and of course, a spectacular wedding cake.
Upon arrival guests were greeted with glasses of Moët Champagne or a choice of Silent Pool drinks including a bespoke ‘Blushing Bride’ cocktail, which was made with their rhubarb gin, lashings of ice and topped with ginger ale. Luscious blooms by Jamie Aston plus Jo Malone candles created a wonderfully fragrant atmosphere, while illustrations by Victoria FitzRoy, of the characters from The Almost Wife, brought the book to life.
After officially launching the book, Jade was on hand to sign the very first copies for guests, followed by servings of the wonderfully floral wedding cake by Amy Swann.
