What to ask your floristbeforeyou book them
How many weddings do you do in one weekend? The answer will help predict how hands-on your florist will be - and whether you'll be competing for their attention. Don't book them if they typically do more than two events in a weekend.
Are you familiar with my reception venue? It's handy if they have worked there before or have a sense of the space, the colour scheme and any logistical challenges that may arise. If they haven't, ask them to schedule a visit there as soon as possible.
What containers do you have in stock?Using centrepiece vases they already have will cost a lot less money than if they have to purchase speciality ones. Make sure they have enough options in their showroom that will complement your wedding.
How soon can I see an estimate? They should send you a breakdown of costs about two weeks after your first meeting. Compare with two other prospective florists' estimates, looking for points of difference and opportunities to negotiate.
